Isto \u00e9 vital em muitas situa\u00e7\u00f5es da vida, tais como o deslocamento seguro no tr\u00e2nsito. Mas as propriedades espaciais do som s\u00e3o t\u00e3o importantes quanto para se atingir um ambiente ac\u00fastico real\u00edstico em sistemas para games e home theater. Ent\u00e3o, como isto funciona e o que \u00e9 necess\u00e1rio para recriar uma experi\u00eancia aut\u00eantica? O som de uma fonte \u00e0 frente ou atr\u00e1s chegar\u00e1 simultaneamente aos dois ouvidos. Quando incide pelos lados, com a cabe\u00e7a com 20cm de di\u00e2metro e velocidade do som de 340 m\/s, a diferen\u00e7a m\u00e1xima de tempo \u00e9 de 0,58 ms (direita).<\/em><\/strong><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>As diferen\u00e7as de fase s\u00e3o interpretadas com mais facilidade nas baixas frequ\u00eancias. Nas baixas frequ\u00eancias, o tamanho da cabe\u00e7a \u00e9 pequeno quando comparado ao comprimento de onda no ar. Consequentemente, a press\u00e3o sonora \u00e9 a mesma no ouvido esquerdo e no direito, independente da dire\u00e7\u00e3o de onde o som chega.<\/p>\n<p>Por\u00e9m, com o aumento da frequ\u00eancia o comprimento de onda diminui e o tamanho da cabe\u00e7a n\u00e3o \u00e9 mais desprez\u00edvel. Esta agora se torna um obst\u00e1culo que bloqueia e reflete o som, havendo a atenua\u00e7\u00e3o do conte\u00fado de alta frequ\u00eancia no ouvido oposto ao ouvido que est\u00e1 em frente a uma fonte sonora.<\/p>\n<p>O formato da pina tamb\u00e9m fornece uma m\u00edriade de indica\u00e7\u00f5es espectrais (dependente da frequ\u00eancia). Tal como a sombra ac\u00fastica da cabe\u00e7a, a pina funciona como um escudo ao atenuar as altas frequ\u00eancias n\u00e3o provenientes diretamente \u00e1rea frontal. O ouvinte pode experimentar isto ao se afastar e depois se aproximar novamente da fonte. Sentir\u00e1 uma pequena mudan\u00e7a nas altas frequ\u00eancias, algo que normalmente ele n\u00e3o prestaria aten\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Al\u00e9m disto, e dependendo da frequ\u00eancia e da dire\u00e7\u00e3o de incid\u00eancia, o formato da pina afeta o som ao ser refletido no canal auditivo, real\u00e7ando algumas frequ\u00eancias e atenuando outras.<\/p>\n<h4><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"> <strong>Audi\u00e7\u00e3o e reprodu\u00e7\u00e3o binaurais<\/strong><\/span><\/h4>\n<p>Geralmente, necessitamos de dois ouvidos (binaural) para uma experi\u00eancia espacial ac\u00fastica precisa, dado que a compara\u00e7\u00e3o entre ouvido esquerdo e direito d\u00e1 as indica\u00e7\u00f5es mais fortes sobre a localiza\u00e7\u00e3o das fontes. N\u00e3o \u00e9 de surpreender que existe maior dificuldade ao localizar as fontes no plano m\u00e9dio, onde n\u00e3o h\u00e1 quase nenhuma diferen\u00e7a interaural.<\/p>\n<p>Por\u00e9m, muito do senso de dire\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 desenvolvido a partir da experi\u00eancia, que est\u00e1 ligada \u00e0 fisiologia \u2013 tamanho e formato da cabe\u00e7a, pinas e canais auditivos. Com o tempo, o sistema auditivo constr\u00f3i um reposit\u00f3rio de refer\u00eancias, tal como a observa\u00e7\u00e3o de que o som vindo de tr\u00e1s soa um pouco mais amorfo.<\/p>\n<p>Ent\u00e3o, para se criar uma experi\u00eancia espacial convincente, \u00a0onde \u00e9 poss\u00edvel sentir as posi\u00e7\u00f5es exatas das fontes sonoras, a reprodu\u00e7\u00e3o tem de fornecer toda a informa\u00e7\u00e3o que o sistema auditivo est\u00e1 acostumado. Existem basicamente duas maneiras de fazer isso.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1: Grava\u00e7\u00e3o binaural<br \/>\n<\/strong>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Pode ser feita com um par de microfones posicionados pr\u00f3ximo aos ouvidos ou, como mais usualmente implementado, com uma cabe\u00e7a artificial e os microfones posicionados na entrada dos canais auditivos. Tal grava\u00e7\u00e3o deve ser reproduzida diretamente com fones de ouvido de alta qualidade, ou seja, o som \u00e9 reproduzido o mais pr\u00f3ximo poss\u00edvel do ponto onde foi captado. Sua reprodu\u00e7\u00e3o atrav\u00e9s de alto-falantes convencionais e sem um processamento adicional de sinal, como o cancelamento via cross-talk, n\u00e3o funciona, uma vez que o sinal \u00e9 enviado para todo o ambiente e ao redor da cabe\u00e7a do ouvinte, criando uma experi\u00eancia completamente diferente.<\/p>\n<p><strong>2: Arranjo de microfones<br \/>\n<\/strong>Esta abordagem utiliza um arranjo de microfones posicionados de forma compacta e tridimensional, que por sua vez grava o som em um ponto juntamente com informa\u00e7\u00f5es espaciais sobre a sua dire\u00e7\u00e3o incidente. Com o aux\u00edlio de algoritmos sofisticados, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel reproduzir um campo sonoro similar ao campo captado atrav\u00e9s de um arranjo de alto-falantes ao redor do ouvinte. O resultado \u00e9 ainda melhor se o ambiente de audi\u00e7\u00e3o for altamente absorsor, de modo que o som, uma vez que atingiu o ouvinte, n\u00e3o ser\u00e1 refletido. Caso contr\u00e1rio, as caracter\u00edsticas ac\u00fasticas do ambiente s\u00e3o adicionadas (<strong>fig. 2<\/strong>). Esta t\u00e9cnica exige que o ouvinte se mantenha em uma posi\u00e7\u00e3o fixa, ou pelo menos em uma regi\u00e3o limitada. Esta t\u00e9cnica tamb\u00e9m requer algum processamento para converter a grava\u00e7\u00e3o em binaural. Uma HRTF descreve como um som gerado em um ponto espec\u00edfico do espa\u00e7o ser\u00e1 percebido pelo ouvido direito ou esquerdo. Pode-se consider\u00e1-la como uma impress\u00e3o digital ac\u00fastica da cabe\u00e7a e do torso do ouvinte. Para levantar uma HRTF, um alto-falante \u00e9 posicionado no espa\u00e7o e um microfone \u00e9 posicionado no ouvido (<strong>fig. 3<\/strong>). Embora a medi\u00e7\u00e3o para algumas posi\u00e7\u00f5es do alto-falante seja uma tarefa facilmente realiz\u00e1vel, o ensaio com todos os \u00e2ngulos poss\u00edveis requer um conjunto vasto de HRTFs, sendo um subconjunto para cada ouvido (<strong>fig. 4<\/strong>), mas o resultado \u00e9 gratificante.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_5485\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-5485\" style=\"width: 580px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-5485\" src=\"http:\/\/revistahometheater.uol.com.br\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/fig_4.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"580\" height=\"569\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.hometheater.com.br\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/fig_4.jpg 580w, https:\/\/www.hometheater.com.br\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/fig_4-400x392.jpg 400w, https:\/\/www.hometheater.com.br\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/fig_4-500x491.jpg 500w, https:\/\/www.hometheater.com.br\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/08\/fig_4-300x294.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 580px) 100vw, 580px\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-5485\" class=\"wp-caption-text\"><em><strong>Para processar o som de qualquer dire\u00e7\u00e3o, a medi\u00e7\u00e3o da HRTF tem que ser repetida para muitos pontos ao redor da cabe\u00e7a.<\/strong><\/em><\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Quando comparado a uma grava\u00e7\u00e3o binaural direta, a vantagem de se utilizar um sinal obtido com arranjo de microfones e processado atrav\u00e9s uma HRTF \u00e9 que o sistema de reprodu\u00e7\u00e3o pode incorporar sensores para captar a orienta\u00e7\u00e3o da cabe\u00e7a do ouvinte e corrigir o processamento de acordo. Por exemplo, ao girar a cabe\u00e7a para a esquerda, uma fonte sonora que estava originalmente \u00e0 frente ser\u00e1 reproduzida \u00e0 direita, e vice-versa.
