O \u201cmercado\u201d (n\u00f3s) analisa o que est\u00e1 por tr\u00e1s daquela tecnologia e seu desempenho, com base em caracter\u00edsticas mensur\u00e1veis.<\/p>\n<p>Pouco tempo ap\u00f3s ser apresentada ao p\u00fablico profissional, as demais m\u00eddias come\u00e7am a levar a mensagem ao consumidor. \u00c9 quando se l\u00ea que \u201cdaqui a X anos o mercado Y ir\u00e1 crescer para Z d\u00f3lares\u201d, como costumam indicar as empresas de pesquisa e consultorias.<\/p><div class=\"homet-conteudo\" style=\"text-align: center;\" id=\"homet-548311672\"><div data-cfpa=\"35734\" data-cfpw=\"35734\" id=\"homet-4069298916\"><a data-no-instant=\"1\" href=\"https:\/\/www.harmanluxuryaudio.com\/\" rel=\"noopener\" class=\"a2t-link\" aria-label=\"ARCAM-SA45-BANNER-NEWSLETTER\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.hometheater.com.br\/portal\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/09\/ARCAM-SA45-BANNER-NEWSLETTER.gif\" alt=\"\"  class=\"no-lazyload\" width=\"300\" height=\"250\"   \/><\/a><\/div><h6><span style=\"color: #808080;\"><em>Publicidade<\/em><\/span><\/h6>\r\n<\/br><script type=\"text\/javascript\">;new advadsCfpAd( 35734 );<\/script><\/div>\n<p>Voc\u00ea pode se perguntar como \u00e9 poss\u00edvel prever a performance de um produto que ainda nem foi lan\u00e7ado, e a resposta \u00e9 simples: experi\u00eancia. Ao longo dos anos, aprendemos como certas tecnologias s\u00e3o adotadas pelos consumidores; essas curvas de crescimento podem ser aplicadas a produtos novos e\u2026 voil\u00e1, temos uma previs\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>N\u00e3o me entendam mal, nada h\u00e1 de errado nessa abordagem, desde que se saiba que trata-se apenas de um palpite. N\u00e3o h\u00e1 como prever como ir\u00e1 se sair um produto, nem como o consumidor ir\u00e1 reagir.<\/p>\n<p>Um bom exemplo \u00e9 comparar as trajet\u00f3rias dos TVs LCD e dos tablets. A primeira foi longa e dolorosa, enquanto a segunda revolucionou rapidamente o mercado de computadores. Claro, havia uma sens\u00edvel diferen\u00e7a em termos de pre\u00e7o; TVs s\u00e3o considerados um investimento, enquanto tablets servem at\u00e9 para presente de Natal.<\/p>\n<p>Hoje, quando se pensa num produto que n\u00e3o deu certo (por exemplo: o livro eletr\u00f4nico, que chamamos de EBR), esquecemos que essa mesma tecnologia superou os tablets durante um bom tempo. Pode ter havido uma indecis\u00e3o do consumidor, devida ao fato de que n\u00e3o se entender as diferen\u00e7as entre os dois tipos de aparelho.<\/p>\n<p>Voltando ao tema deste artigo, nunca vi uma previs\u00e3o correta sobre o desempenho dos tablets e dos livros eletr\u00f4nicos. De in\u00edcio, ambos foram subestimados; depois, ningu\u00e9m previu que os EBRs iriam cair tanto. Refiro-me \u00e0quelas pesquisas de longo prazo, que geralmente indicam como determinado mercado ir\u00e1 crescer daqui a dez anos. Se souberem de algu\u00e9m que acertou uma previs\u00e3o dessas, me avisem.<\/p>\n<p>A maioria dos analistas de mercado toma por base a \u201ccurva de ado\u00e7\u00e3o tecnol\u00f3gica\u201d, descrita por Everett Rogers e outros no livro\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.co.uk\/Diffusion-Innovations-5th-Everett-Rogers\/dp\/0743222091\">The Diffusion of Innovations<\/a>, de 1962. Essa refer\u00eancia vem sendo usada para descrever todos os lan\u00e7amentos de sucesso desde ent\u00e3o. Mas, na minha opini\u00e3o, fazer previs\u00f5es na \u00e1rea de tecnologia \u00e9 uma arte, n\u00e3o uma ci\u00eancia. A arte de entender o mercado a que se dirige um produto e sua potencial penetra\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Tenho feito muitas previs\u00f5es, algumas bem sucedidas e outras um completo fracasso, e n\u00e3o acredito que algu\u00e9m acerte todas. O engra\u00e7ado \u00e9 que arte e tecnologia n\u00e3o parecem conviver bem. O lado art\u00edstico, no caso, est\u00e1 em saber o que dar\u00e1 certo ou n\u00e3o. E isso inclui saber avaliar a qualidade t\u00e9cnica do produto, o que raramente se v\u00ea entre os analistas.<\/p>\n<p>Por favor, entendam que as pesquisas s\u00e3o feitas para serem vendidas \u00e0s empresas. Como \u00e9 poss\u00edvel vender uma previs\u00e3o que diz que o produto jamais dar\u00e1 certo? Em vez disso, os pesquisadores geralmente criam previs\u00f5es baseadas numa vis\u00e3o otimista. Isso aumenta a expectativa e ajuda startups a conseguirem investidores, e esse \u00e9 um ponto positivo das pesquisas.<\/p>\n<p>S\u00f3 que, al\u00e9m de todos os problemas tecnol\u00f3gicos, as condi\u00e7\u00f5es do mercado mudam constantemente, e as taxas de crescimento hist\u00f3rico nem sempre s\u00e3o a melhor base para prever o futuro. O que s\u00f3 ajuda a tornar essa atividade uma verdadeira arte.<\/p>\n<p>Naturalmente, existe nisso uma enorme influ\u00eancia da internet. Vivemos numa \u00e9poca em que coment\u00e1rios sobre novos produtos se espalham muito mais rapidamente. Exemplo: quando o mercado de TVs LCD na \u00cdndia come\u00e7ou a crescer, o resto do mundo j\u00e1 tinha esquecido o que era um TV CRT. Hoje, os blogs de tecnologia nesse pa\u00eds discutem a ado\u00e7\u00e3o do smartphone flex\u00edvel, produto que ainda nem existe em qualquer pa\u00eds.<\/p>\n<p>Para mim, isso confirma que as linhas do tempo para lan\u00e7amento de novos produtos est\u00e3o cada vez mais comprimidas. O mundo age mais como um mercado unificado do que uma multid\u00e3o de mercados locais.
