F\u00f3runs de usu\u00e1rios e blogs especializados revelaram esta semana uma s\u00e9rie de falhas nos dispositivos Chromecast 1 e 2, do Google, que impedem a conex\u00e3o aos servi\u00e7os de streaming. Ap\u00f3s os primeiros casos denunciados nos EUA no \u00faltimo fim de semana, com usu\u00e1rios recebendo a mensagem \u201cdispositivo n\u00e3o confi\u00e1vel\u201d, a empresa comunicou que est\u00e1 trabalhando numa solu\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n

O Chromecast 1, lan\u00e7ado em 2013, e que j\u00e1 est\u00e1 em sua 6a vers\u00e3o, \u00e9 usado por milh\u00f5es de pessoas em todo o mundo para acessar servi\u00e7os de streaming. Segundo os relatos, as falhas atingiram tanto o modelo original quanto a vers\u00e3o 2 (2015), impedindo os usu\u00e1rios de assistir v\u00eddeos e ouvir m\u00fasica, com a seguinte mensagem:<\/p>\n

\u201cDispositivo n\u00e3o confi\u00e1vel: n\u00e3o p\u00f4de ser verificado. A causa pode ser firmware desatualizado\u201d.<\/i><\/p>\n

Segundo usu\u00e1rios que tentaram resolver o problema, a desatualiza\u00e7\u00e3o se refere a um certificado de seguran\u00e7a que expirou. O documento foi introduzido em 9 de mar\u00e7o de 2015, com validade de dez anos. Por isso, os dispositivos n\u00e3o conseguem mais se conectar de forma segura com os servidores do Google. At\u00e9 agora, n\u00e3o houve relatos de falhas desse tipo nas vers\u00f5es posteriores do Chromecast: Ultra (2016), Chromecast 3 (2018), Chromecast com Google TV (2020) e Google TV HD (2022).<\/p>\n

Em comunicado aos usu\u00e1rios, a empresa alertou para que n\u00e3o tentem ressetar seus aparelhos e esperem por uma solu\u00e7\u00e3o oficial. \u201cEstamos cientes do problema e manteremos voc\u00ea informado quando encontrarmos a solu\u00e7\u00e3o.
