Hoje, \u00e9 dif\u00edcil imaginar que, durante mais de 50 anos, produtores de diversas partes do mundo tentaram negociar com o pr\u00f3prio Marquez para levar seu livro ao cinema ou \u00e0 televis\u00e3o. Com seu falecimento em 2014, o projeto ganhou for\u00e7a. Tr\u00eas anos depois, ele escreveria \u201cO Messias de Duna\u201d, que colocou sua obra como uma das mais importantes da fic\u00e7\u00e3o-cient\u00edfica no s\u00e9culo 20. A primeira adapta\u00e7\u00e3o para o cinema (1984) n\u00e3o agradou os f\u00e3s. Nem a miniss\u00e9rie feita pelo canal americano SyFy (2000) conseguiu resgatar a m\u00edstica criada por Herbert. Entendendo melhor o livro, o cineasta Dennis Villeneuve dividiu a hist\u00f3ria em dois filmes (2021 e 2024), conquistando p\u00fablico e cr\u00edtica. Isso levou a Waner a produzir uma nova s\u00e9rie, que se passa dez mil anos antes dos eventos do livro. Mostra a forma\u00e7\u00e3o da Irmandade Bene Gesserit, guias espirituais que v\u00e3o atuar diretamente na linha sucess\u00f3ria das casas que disputam o poder nesse futuro dist\u00f3pico. S\u00e3o duas irm\u00e3s Valya (Emily Watson e Olivia Williams), manipuladoras gen\u00e9ticas dotadas de poderes al\u00e9m da imagina\u00e7\u00e3o, combatendo as for\u00e7as que amea\u00e7am o futuro da humanidade. Alguns passageiros percebem que algu\u00e9m mexeu com a estrutura do trem. O Nightsleeper foi hackeado, e quem est\u00e1 no controle agora amea\u00e7a n\u00e3o apenas as pr\u00f3ximas esta\u00e7\u00f5es como os pr\u00f3prios passageiros. H\u00e1 uma pessoa dentro do trem que pode ajudar, mas ser\u00e1 que \u00e9 confi\u00e1vel? N\u00e3o \u00e9 apenas um suspense de alta velocidade. O roteiro mostra que, mesmo com toda a tecnologia dispon\u00edvel, existem limites que n\u00e3o podem ser cruzados.
