Ao manusear n\u00e3o ouvimos sequer o ru\u00eddo de alguma sobra de fio interno encostando ao chassi. S\u00e3o cerca de 16kg bem distribu\u00eddos em um gabinete de padr\u00e3o 2U, de 43cm de largura por 10cm altura, e bastante r\u00edgido.<\/p>\n<p>Assim como o painel em alum\u00ednio espesso com apenas um bot\u00e3o liga-desliga e leds indicadores de standby e de clipping calibrados para caso a distor\u00e7\u00e3o atinja 2%, o que pode acontecer numa eventual conex\u00e3o de caixas incompat\u00edveis (bem que poderia ficar somente a luz azul quando ligado o aparelho).<\/p>\n<p>Atrav\u00e9s das sa\u00eddas de ar superiores, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel ver uma topologia Classe AB bem estruturada com transformador toroidal e um banco de capacitores parrudos que, segundo o fabricante, somam 60.000uF e entregam corrente de 45 Amp\u00e9res cont\u00ednuos, ou o dobro de pico. A AAT informa que utiliza componentes avan\u00e7ados para garantir energia extra durante os picos musicais mais elevados.<\/p>\n<p>A pot\u00eancia \u00e9 especificada em 150W RMS em dois canais simult\u00e2neos a 8 ohms, podendo chegar a 215Wx2 a 4 ohms. Encontramos interruptores para funcionamentos em est\u00e9reo, paralelo (duplo mono) e bridge; entradas RCA e balanceada (raras num amplificador dom\u00e9stico nacional); ativa\u00e7\u00e3o autom\u00e1tica por sinal de n\u00edvel linha (com sensor para alto e baixo), trigger 12 volts ou manual; e uma chave GROUND LIFT, que pode reduzir ru\u00eddos de loop de terra ocasionados muitas vezes por um aterramento mal projetado.<\/p>\n<p>Com seletor de voltagem 110V\/220V, o PM-2 permite trocar o cabo de for\u00e7a simples \u2013 mas perfeitamente dentro das especifica\u00e7\u00f5es do aparelho \u2013 por outro de constru\u00e7\u00e3o condizente com a deste amplificador (a pr\u00f3pria AAT oferece cabo especial opcional). Os bornes de caixas chamam a aten\u00e7\u00e3o pela robustez e qualidade, e a sa\u00edda RCA (LOOP OUT) distribui o mesmo sinal de linha a um segundo amplificador (pode ser de outra marca).<\/p>\n<p>Na falta moment\u00e2nea de um pr\u00e9, o PM-2 atua com est\u00e1gio de ganho do sinal anal\u00f3gico; por isso os controles de volume para cada canal. S\u00e3o torres de duas vias com gabinete bass-reflex de pequeno porte e acabamento em black high gloss com tela magn\u00e9tica. Com amplifica\u00e7\u00e3o recomendada de 100W, as caixas abrigam woofer com cone kevlar de 6,5\u201d e tweeter domo seda de 1\u201d que, junto com o duto sintonizado frontal, respondem \u00e0s frequ\u00eancias de 45Hz a 25kHz, de acordo com o fabricante. As T100 possuem base de madeira (tamb\u00e9m podem ser instalados spikes) e duplos terminais para biamplifica\u00e7\u00e3o, ou bicablagem.<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>AVALIA\u00c7\u00c3O<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Imposs\u00edvel ficar indiferente \u00e0 variedade de conex\u00f5es e possibilidades de integra\u00e7\u00e3o do PM-2. Conectamos o amplificador a um pr\u00e9-processador pelas tomadas XLR e alternamos players (CD e SACD) e receiver usando as entradas RCA. O power liga imediatamente com o sinal de entrada de ambas as conex\u00f5es e desliga ap\u00f3s cinco minutos na aus\u00eancia de sinal. Iniciamos quase um m\u00eas de testes ouvindo o sistema est\u00e9reo da AAT com variados estilos musicais.<\/p>\n<p>Se por um lado o PM-2 esbanjou pot\u00eancia, as T100 marcaram pela boa defini\u00e7\u00e3o nas m\u00e9dias e altas frequ\u00eancias. Com a empolgante Mother Give-me Love, do percussionista nigeriano Babatunde Olatunji (<strong>The Super Audio Collection &amp; Professional Test Disc<\/strong>, Chesky), a dupla da AAT n\u00e3o se escondeu e trouxe para a nossa sala graves convincentes, enquanto vocais e palmas ajudaram a criar uma not\u00e1vel abertura de palco.<\/p>\n<p>As T100 n\u00e3o conseguiram acompanhar batidas mais r\u00e1pidas e profundas com a mesma precis\u00e3o e qualidade de nossas torres de refer\u00eancia \u2013 e seus tr\u00eas woofers dedicados. Por outro lado, as T100 se sa\u00edram bem com o baixo encorpado de Waters e a bateria de Mason em <strong>The Dark Side of the Moon<\/strong> (FLAC). Com Johnny Cash em <strong>Presents a Concert Behind Prison Walls <\/strong>(CD), curiosamente, tivemos sensa\u00e7\u00e3o muito pr\u00f3xima de press\u00e3o sonora e natureza t\u00edmbrica, em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao nosso amplificador de refer\u00eancia de 200Wx2.<\/p>\n<p>Em praticamente todas as faixas do \u00e1lbum <strong>McCoy Tyner with Stanley Clarke and Al Foster<\/strong> (DSD), o PM-2 quando exigido entregou um controle din\u00e2mico eficiente, ao mesmo tempo em que manteve a esperada neutralidade de frequ\u00eancias, evitando qualquer ind\u00edcio de distor\u00e7\u00e3o. Isso ficou ainda mais evidente com o disco <strong>Chesky Records Jazz \u2013 Sample &amp; Audiophile Test<\/strong> (CD), principalmente nas faixas Viola Fora de Moda e The Songs is You.<\/p>\n<p>O power da AAT produziu uma pegada r\u00edtmica veloz na regi\u00e3o dos m\u00e9dios-graves, acompanhados de agudos extensos e detalhados. Durante todo o per\u00edodo de testes em alto volume o PM-2 operou \u201cfrio\u201d, apesar de trabalhar somente com dissipadores de alum\u00ednio, sem as detest\u00e1veis ventoinhas encontradas na maioria dos receivers, por exemplo.<\/p>\n<p>O resultado disso: um som consideravelmente limpo e refinado, independente da conex\u00e3o \u2013 balanceada ou RCA. Mas faltava submeter o PM-2 \u00e0 amplifica\u00e7\u00e3o de canais frontais no home theater; foi quando o conectamos \u00e0s sa\u00eddas PR\u00c9 de um receiver multicanal. Ap\u00f3s uma breve calibragem autom\u00e1tica, a trilha musical de <strong>007 \u2013 Contra Spectre <\/strong>se tornou bem mais volumosa e os efeitos notoriamente
