Ap\u00f3s quatro meses de negocia\u00e7\u00f5es (confira aqui<\/a><\/strong>), o grupo americano Sound United anunciou nesta quinta-feira a compra da inglesa Bowers&Wilkins, refer\u00eancia em caixas ac\u00fasticas de alto padr\u00e3o. Em comunicado, a empresa informou que Geoff Edwards, atual CEO da B&W, continua agora como presidente dessa divis\u00e3o dentro do grupo Sound United.<\/div>\n

Adquirido em 2011 pelo fundo de investimentos Charlesbank, o Sound United cresceu rapidamente para se tornar um dos maiores do mundo em equipamentos de \u00e1udio. Em poucos anos, incorporou marcas de peso no mercado internacional, como Definitive Technology, Polk Audio, Boston Acoustics, Class\u00e9, Denon e Marantz. Chegou tamb\u00e9m a negociar a compra da Onkyo\/Pioneer, mas a aquisi\u00e7\u00e3o n\u00e3o foi concretizada.<\/div>\n

Por sua vez, a B&W – fundada na Inglaterra em 1966 – \u00e9 hoje a marca mais importante do mundo em caixas ac\u00fasticas de padr\u00e3o high-end. Em 2016, a empresa havia feito acordo com a startup Eva Automation<\/a><\/strong>, do Vale do Sil\u00edcio, que injetou dinheiro na B&W para produzir caixas ac\u00fasticas multim\u00eddia. No in\u00edcio deste ano, o neg\u00f3cio foi desfeito.<\/div>\n

 O comunicado divulgado agora n\u00e3o d\u00e1 detalhes sobre como pretende comercializar a marca B&W a partir de agora. A princ\u00edpio, nada vai mudar nos atuais acordos de distribui\u00e7\u00e3o internacional. A distribuidora Som Maior \u00e9 a representante oficial da marca inglesa desde a d\u00e9cada de 80, quando trouxe seus primeiros produtos para o mercado brasileiro. <\/div>\n
