A previs\u00e3o \u00e9 de que o crescimento seja constante nos pr\u00f3ximos cinco anos, especialmente nos pa\u00edses emergentes.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>\u201cAt\u00e9 2017, mais da metade da popula\u00e7\u00e3o mundial ter\u00e1 acesso \u00e0 TV paga, com 1 bilh\u00e3o de assinantes\u201d, prev\u00ea Jake Saunders, vice-presidente da ABI. A pesquisa indica tamb\u00e9m que a forte competi\u00e7\u00e3o dos servi\u00e7os OTT (Over-The-Top) ir\u00e1 obrigar os provedores de TV por assinatura a ampliar sua gama de servi\u00e7os para n\u00e3o perder assinantes. Al\u00e9m disso, a chamada ARPU (<em>Average Revenue per User<\/em>, ou \u201ctaxa m\u00e9dia de receita por usu\u00e1rio\u201d) tende a cair progressivamente.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div>\n<p>Segundo os pesquisadores, a competi\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 mais intensa nos mercados mais maduros, como Am\u00e9rica do Norte e Europa Ocidental, onde a penetra\u00e7\u00e3o da TV paga j\u00e1 chega \u00e0 faixa de 60% a 80% das resid\u00eancias.
